Excellent service from Bounce Renewables!

We had our system installed on the 7th of November 2022 and I was waiting to put this review on here until it was bedded in. Now 4 months of having our heat pump and not one issue we are completely satisfied and happy with our heat pump. We are very pleased with the excellent service from Bounce Renewables from the very first contact and throughout the fitting of our Air Source Heat pump. All the people involved were extremely knowledgeable, friendly and kept us informed every step of the way. We felt we were in very safe hands and are very pleased with the finished system.

Thank You Bounce Team!

Thanks to the chaps at Bounce for fitting my new heat pump. It's all working fine, the house is nice and warm so the wife is happy. Also thanks to Ian for keeping in touch with me answering my many questions and letting me know what's happening. I'm looking forward to saving money.

Professional service with a focus on doing a good job!

I was impressed with the professional nature of the team at Bounce and how they managed the installation, keeping me informed throughout the process, from the initial conversations through to post-install care. The installation itself went very smoothly despite it being on an older property.
The team was courteous, arrived on time, and tidied up after themselves in a way that shows pride in their work.

Bounce renewables are a great company!

Bounce Renewables are a great company to work with. They have done an excellent job installing an air source heat pump in my property. Jae, Richard, Lee, and Phil were all superb in their roles. They certainly know their stuff. The installation team worked very hard indeed, and the premises were left clean and tidy. I am rather anxious about new technology, and the team has been patient, responding to all my questions.
I recommend them without reservation.

Attention to detail was a breath of fresh air!

Excellent company! From start to finish the experience was 5 stars. Their attention to detail was a breath of fresh air compared to the other companies we had around! They replaced all of our radiators as a matter of good practice.
I don't hesitate to recommend Bounce, well done guys.

Extremely positive interaction from start to finish!

It is just great when someone does what they said they'd do when they said they would do it. Add to this the minimal disruption, quality of work, and friendliness of the install lads, I can do nothing more than highly recommend Lee and the team at Bounce. From first interaction to final sign off, we couldn't be happier with the installation and performance of our heat pump.

Excellent service and a pleasant experience!

The entire installation of heat pump and solar panels, with battery and all new radiators. The cheerful and hardworking plumbers arrived on time and cracked on with the job, hardly taking a break. All the parts and equipment arrived promptly, indicative of great organisation, and the whole experience, as these things go, was pleasant and well-handled.
Highly recommended!

I honestly can’t recommend them enough!

Had Mitsubishi heat pump installed by Bounce after getting three other quotes and although they weren’t the cheapest they also weren’t the dearest either. I honestly can’t recommend them enough, they were a delight to deal from first contact to install (they were so clean and tidy!).
Thanks guys, I’ll be recommending you to everyone I know.

What you need to know

An air source heat pump (ASHP) is a renewable heating system that uses the outside air as a source of energy to heat your home. It works by absorbing heat from the outside air and using it to heat your home's radiators, underfloor heating and hot water.

An air source heat pump works by using a refrigerant to absorb heat from the outside air, which is then compressed to increase its temperature, and the resulting heat is transferred to your home's heating system.

Yes, air source heat pumps can be very efficient, with some models having an efficiency rating of over 300%. This means that for every unit of electricity used to power the heat pump, it can produce over three units of heat energy.

The cost of an air source heat pump can vary depending on the size and type of system you choose, as well as the installation costs. However, as a rough guide, you can expect to pay between £6,000 and £12,000 for an air source heat pump system. This includes the Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant.

We replace all your radiators and water tank, which is included in the indicative cost above. Our Technical team design the system for maximum efficiency and to meet any specific needs you might have.

An air source heat pump can last for up to 20 years with proper maintenance and care.

Yes, some air source heat pumps can be used for cooling as well as heating by reversing the refrigeration cycle.

Most air source heat pumps produce a low level of noise, similar to that of a refrigerator.

In most cases, air source heat pumps do not require planning permission. However, if you live in a listed building or a conservation area, you should check with your local authority before installing one.

Yes, air source heat pumps can work in cold weather, although their efficiency may be reduced in extremely low temperatures i.e. -15 degrees. Scandinavia is the largest per capita adopter of heat pumps and that’s despite their extremely harsh winters.

Yes, air source heat pumps are eligible for the government Boiler Upgrade Scheme, which is £7,500. We apply to Ofgem on your behalf, you consent and the value is deducted from your final invoice.

They can be more cost-effective to run than other heating systems, such as electric heaters, oil boilers or gas boilers. They can save homeowners a significant amount of money on energy bills.

Heat pumps are an environmentally friendly option as they produce lower carbon emissions than traditional heating systems. This makes them a more sustainable option than traditional heating systems that rely on fossil fuels. They are an important part of the governments net zero goal with the expectation that 600,000 will be installed every year.

Standard installs take between 1.5 and 2 days which includes installing the pump, replacing the water cylinder and all radiators. They don't require a flue or a chimney, which can make installation quicker and less disruptive.

Heat pumps require minimal maintenance, with most our manufacturers offering warranties that cover parts and labour for 5-7 years. We additionally provide a 2 year workmanship warranty as well as low cost annual maintenance agreements that can be paid monthly or as a single sum.

They are built to last and can provide reliable heating for +20 years.

They are safe and easy to use, with no risk of gas leaks or combustion.

We have a 'High' level government approved waste management licence which gives you the piece of mind that everything is disposed of correctly. As soon as the system has been commissioned we ensure that all areas have been tidied and old equipment is removed from your property.

On commissioning we will programme the system based around your needs. We will also advise on how to achieve maximum efficiency. You’ll be left with instructions manuals, but we’ll also show you what to do and how to contact us should you need further support. We pride ourselves on our after care, so you’ll not be left alone. Many people like to use a phone app to control their system, again we’ll set this up and show you what to do.

The heat pump location very much depends on your property and boundaries, but we generally find to the rear of your property works best. Heat pumps can be wall mounted however our preference, both from an aesthetic and ease of maintenance perspective, is to place on the ground. We collaborate with you and the Technical team to get the right solution. Your new cylinder will replace your old one in the same location, however we can explore other options.

We do not undertake any work associated with oil. You will need to arrange for your oil engineer to disconnect and cap off your existing oil system.

We take out an Insurance Backed Guarantee on your behalf. This will be sent to you directly from the insurance company, and you will be the policy holder.

Trustmark is the only government endorsed quality scheme for work carried out, in or around the home, and we are a proud member.

We are a HIES (Home Insulation & Energy Systems Quality Assured Contractors Scheme) member. This means you have free deposit protection, free stage payment protection, free insurance backed guarantees, free mediation services and free access to an Ombudsman, in the unlikely event that there is a dispute.

We have partnered with a finance broker who will find a finance package, which includes 0% APR, that best suits your needs.

We make the process as simple and as straight forward as possible. It starts with an initial visit to your home to get a very clear understanding of your needs. The same day we provide a quote, our Terms & Conditions, and detail about the heat pump. If everything looks OK, you approve the quote and we get on and organise a Technical Survey. This normally happens within 1-2 days, but we are completely flexible and will fit in around you. The survey takes 3 days to complete, after which we’ll either visit you again, or provide you with the detail and discuss it over the phone. If everything is to your satisfaction, we’ll agree an install date, there and then.
